A donation of $7,500 was recently made to the Roseau Cathedral Renovation Project. 

 The Catholic community is raising funds to retrofit the Cathedral of Our Lady of Fairhaven and replace its roof. This renovation project is estimated to cost  $9M, and only part of the funds have been raised. 

The first phase of the project--removal of the shingles from the old roof-- was completed at the end of July.   

Persons wishing to contribute to the renovation fund for this national heritage building can  do so at the NCCU to Account No. 300400. 

The presentation was made at a ceremony on August 14, 2012,  during which  secondary school scholarships were awarded to 11 deserving students who sat the 2012 GSAT (Grade Six ASsessment Test).
