ECCB TO WITHDRAW 1-CENT AND 2-CENTS COINS

Come July 1, 2015

The 1 cent and 2 cent EC coins will be withdrawn from circulation, and consumers will not be able to conduct transactions using these coins.

Therefore, NCCU members can redeem these coins at any NCCU Branch bagged up to $2.50 (i.e. 250 1-cent coins and 125 2-cents coins).

New Executive of the Board Elected

Following the 5th Annual General Meeting which was held on May 19, 2015, in Mahaut, the Board of Directors has elected a new executive in keeping with NCCU By-Law No 81.

Dexter Ducreay was voted in as President of the Society and will be supported by Alganan Degallerie, Vice President; Candia Joseph, Treasurer and Secretary, Charmaine Brumant. Mr. Ducreay was NCCU’s first President and served from 2010 to 2013.

Elections have also been held for offices on the Supervisory & Compliance Committee and the Credit Committee.

Clement Marcellin retained the position of Chairperson of the Supervisory & Compliance and Mervyn Dailey was elected as Secretary.

Dr. Damien Dublin is now Chairperson of the Credit Committee and Priscilla Panthier is Secretary.

ECCU Reduces Savings Interest Rate

The minimum savings interest rate was officially reduced from 3% to 2%.
