Cadence Lypso Show 2018 is Definitely On

The NCCU  Cadence Lypso Show is definitely on in 2018. The 11 artistes and 4 bands signed their contracts at the official launch on September 25, 2018, and are eagerly awaiting their turn on stage when  the cowbell tokes on the night of Friday, November 2, 2018.

So save the Date.   It's going to be a fantastic show and we look forward to you being there.   

And this year, NCCU is partnering with The Triple Kay Band for the official after party at the Strip in Loubiere from 1 am  on November 3, 2018

HUMAN RESOURCE/ INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS SPECIALIST – Head Office

 

 The National  Co-operative Credit Union (NCCU) Ltd invites applications to fill the vacant position of Human Resource/ Industrial Relations (HR/IR) Specialist – Head Office. 

 

The HR/IR will:

(i)  provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer - specific to, but not limited to all matters related to NCCU Ltd Collective Bargaining and Industrial relations matters and compliance of policies with industrial relations legislation

(ii) provide advice on all matters specific to the NCCU Ltd Collective Bargaining Agreements and Industrial Relations issues

   

Applicants should possess a sound knowledge of business and understanding of the financial industry, and a dedication to exceptional member service.  The successful applicant must demonstrate strong ethics, values, integrity and trustworthiness.

 

(A)       QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

(1)  B.Sc. Degree in Management or Administration or equivalent, Diploma in Human Resource Management would be an asset

(2)  A minimum of  six  (6) years work experience in an administrative position, with at least five  (5) years at the Supervisory level

(3)  Training in Industrial Relations/ Human Resource Practices

(4)  Knowledge of, and experience in the use of microcomputers and software applications, particularly of financial and spreadsheet packages.

(5)  Knowledge and/or experience in the Credit Union Movement would be a an asset.

 

(B)       SKILLS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES

(1) Ability to produce neat, clean and accurate work in a timely manner.

(2)  Ability to work as part of a team -demonstrated ability to work well with others

(3)   Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

(4)  Excellent interpersonal skills

(5)  Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

BRANCH MANAGER- VIEILLE CASE

 

 The National  Co-operative Credit Union (NCCU) Ltd invites applications to fill the vacant position of Branch Manager – Vieille Case.  

The Branch Manager will work  under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer [CEO] and shall be responsible for the general management of the Branch, overseeing and coordinating the operations in order to ensure that the Branch is effectively and efficiently managed.    

Applicants should possess a sound knowledge of business and understanding of the financial industry, and a dedication to exceptional member service.  It is necessary that the Branch Manager maintains a team spirit, driven by the cooperative concepts and principles and possesses a disposition of working well with members, community organizations and employees. The successful applicant must demonstrate strong ethics, values, integrity and trustworthiness, be approachable and capable of motivation.  The candidate should also be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and planning.

 

(A)       QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

(1)  At least a First Degree in Business,  Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field AND

(2)  A Master's Degree in Business,  Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field

(3)  A minimum of  eight (8) years experience in a Senior Management position at a Financial Institution.

(4)  Knowledge of and experience in the use of microcomputers and software applications, particularly of financial and spreadsheet packages.

(5)  Knowledge and/or experience in the Credit Union Movement would be a an asset.

 

(B)       SKILLS AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES

(1) Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

(2)  Demonstrated ability to work well with others

(3)  Proven leadership ability

(4)  Proven experience in the planning and execution of programmes

(5)  Proficiency in the preparation of  analytic reports and proposals

Family Fun Day is On October 14, 2018
Tuesday, 02 October 2018

You can't miss the Credit Unions Family Fun Day 2018.   It's a family affair so bring along your chiildren,  loved ones, neighbours and friends to enjoy the exciting games, sports and entertainment.

The venue is the scenic Dublanc playing field and the date is Sunday October 14, 2018. The event starts promptly at 12 noon and flows to 7 pm. 

DJ Major Mystic will keep the fun rolling. Cadence artistes will share their  exciting  tunes for the 2018  Cadence Lypso Show  and the evening will wind down on the melodic strains of the Extasy Band.

Transportation will be provided for members from all NCCU Branch communities.  Details of buses and departure times  will be provided in a subsequent news item. So stay tuned.

 WEAR something BLUE to represent NCCU.
