NCCU DONATES TO THE WESTERN DOMINICA CHILDREN'S FEDERATION

St. David's Branch Establishes Wellness Committee

The St. David Branch recently launched a  Wellness Committee for enhancing the  lives  of members and their  communities. 

 Already, the Committee has been very busy playing their part in doing good for the community and their fellow citizens.

From undertaking a clean-up campaign of the Morne Fraguard drain in Riviere Cyrique to bringing smiles to the face of an elderly citizen of Riviere Cyrique and residents of the Dominica Infirmary, Ms Juliana Cuffy (Administrator, St. David's Branch) and her team always do what they love and it shows.  

Keep up the excellent work St. David Wellness Committee.

The Vielle Case branch visited the D'os Dane Primary to educate the students on the importance of what and how beneficial is is to be a member of the NCCU!

200 Secondary School Students Touched

Informative,  interactive, fun were words used to describe two National Cooperative Credit Union Limited seminars held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 for just over 200  secondary  school students

At a financial literacy seminar held at the Public Service Union, 100 fourth formers from the Dominica Grammar and Convent High Schools were introduced to the basics of managing money. 

Among topics covered were  financial behaviour, wants vs needs, goal setting, budgeting , saving, borrowing  and making the right choices. 

The students also received information on NCCU, joining the Credit Union and products and services for  youth. 

At the second seminar held at the CHS auditorium,  just over 100 fifth formers enjoyed a session on leadership, goal setting, NCCU, membership, education and other loans. 

Miss Dominica 2017 and Miss NCCU, Jade Romain, presented to the students at both  the seminars. She emphasised that  that they are unique and encouraged them to study, work hard, remain focused and set goals to realise their potential ,

Both sessions were very  interactive and well-received. The students had the opportunity to win lots of prizes.

Queen Jade Visits the Branches

QUEEN JADE VISITS THE BRANCHES

As a part of her Branch Tours/Visits during her reign as Miss Dominica 2017, Jade "The Gem" kicked off her journey on April 4, 2017 with her first stop being the Vieille Case Branch of the NCCU Ltd, where she was treated to unexpected welcomes and surprises at the Paix Bouche and Thibaud Sub-Branches, the Vieille Case Main Branch; and also to some wonderful smiles and entertainment at the Baroness Patricia Scotland Primary School.
