NCCU Invites Members To Submit Names of Nominees For Elections

NCCU invites members to submit names of Nominees for Elections to serve on the Board of Directors, Credit and Supervisory and Compliance Committees.  Nominations should be submitted to the Nominations Committee, National Co-operative Credit Union Ltd, Head Office, 31-37 Independence Street, Roseau, Commonwealth of Dominica and must be submitted no later than Monday, April 15, 2019. 




World Consumer Rights Day

World Consumer Rights Day will be observed this Friday, March 15, 2019,  under the theme Trusted Smart Products and  the hashtag #betterdigitalworld.  This year highlights the consumers' wants and needs from a connected world, and how important it is to put them at the heart of the development of these digital products and services.

In observance of this day, the Dominica Consumer Protection Association (DCPA) is hosting an expo at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, where prizes will be won. All is invited to the Expo.



NCCU Holds Ceremony for the Reopening of Paix Bouche Sub Office

The National Cooperative Credit Union Ltd  (NCCU)  has reopened the  Paix Bouche Sub Office of its Vieille Case Branch which was damaged during the passage of  Hurricane Maria in September 2017.

Operations commenced at the newly renovated office on Friday, March 8, 2019, following a short ceremony addressed by NCCU CEO, Mr. Aylmer Irish;  Officer in Charge of the Vieille Case Branch, Mrs. Joan Thomas and Member Services Representative, Mrs. Hermina John.

Members and the general public can transact business at the Paix Bouche Sub Office on Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 3 pm and from 8 am to 5 pm on Friday.

The Paix Bouche Sub Office is a hub in the Vieille Case Branch network, which  consists of the Branch office in Vieille Case and three sub offices. The other two sub offices are located in Penville and Thibaud.

NCCU Salutes Sandra Angol-Royer for Long Service

NCCU employee  Sandra Royer-Angol has been recognised for four decades of service to the Credit Union Movement in Dominica.

 Mrs. Angol joined the Roseau Cooperative Credit Union Ltd on June 1, 1978 as a Secretary and meticulously worked her way up while serving in the various sections of the Member Services Department. She has acted in the postion of Section Supervisor on many occasions.

Presently she is the Treasury Officer at the National Cooperative Credit Union Ltd-- Roseau Branch.

NCCU thanks and salutes Mrs. Royer-Angol for long and dedicated service to the  Movement.


 Note: Mrs. Angol is one of 12 staff members featured in NCCU's 2019 calendar. She is highlighted in the month of March.

St. David's Branch Wellness Committee engages in Community Activity

The St. David's Branch Wellness Committee was established in early 2017, and it's objective is to undertake community activities and to reach out to the elderly and shut ins. The Committee shares the phylosophy that promoting community activities/involvement is important.  Committee Members recently gathered to clean up the Riviere Cyrique playing Field.  We commend the Committee for it's positive undertakings and a job well done.
